It Takes a Team
The income we receive for our personal and ministry expenses comes wholly from the participation of the many individuals and churches who partner with us. Unlike a business where sustenance comes from product revenue, we have nothing to sell. We operate by trusting God to provide through many parts of His body, and He has faithfully provisioned us for over 20 years. We have several churches which give corporately, and they provide about 15% of our total income. The remainder comes from a fairly large array of individuals and families who have either made formal support commitments to us, or who give as they can. We see ourselves as the just the mobile part of a larger ministry team whose goal is to provide IT (Information Technology) support to the Bible translation enterprise world-wide. Without these partners, this ministry simply would not exist. We would be happy to talk to you about being a part of this team. What Partnership Means The essense of partnering with the work we represent is to come alongside and provide something essential to its continuation and success, either as a one-time provision or as a committed continuing involvement. We operate within two categories of this support: financial and non-financial. Each partner makes his/her own decisions about what forms of involvement he/she will have, as well as the extent of those involvements. Partners change or even end their participation as they see fit, and as God leads them. The mechanisms and methods for partnering with us financially are described HERE. Non-financial support is equally necessary, and we lay out those opportunities HERE. Our Current Status (as of August 2007) Financially, the Wienecke family receives about 90% of the quota Wycliffe has established for it. We need a number of new church and individual financial partnerships in order to leave the "transitional" status we are in and move into actual working service with the NRSI. We greatly appreciate your interest, prayers and gifts toward that end. Non-financially, we need more ministry advocates as well as new prayer partners. We would like to be more deliberate in our organization of prayer for us and the work, and This website was created to facilitate communication among our partners, as well as provide an orientation to the work for new inquirers. It is our hope to communicate more frequently and incrementally through this medium than we were ever able to do via newsletters alone (though we are not abandoning newsletters!) We eagerly solicit your comments and suggestions about how this site can be improved.
