Other ways to help keep this ministry alive
There are a number of extremely important non-financial ways to play an active role in this work. In fact, if we had plenty of financial donors but lacked these other kinds of partnerships, the ministry would wither and die. Help us expand our partnership team. Over time, our partnership team changes as people change. We continually need new exposure to missions-minded souls looking for an active way to personally connect with the Great Commission outside their own postal codes. As a "champion" for us, you could - Set up opportunities for your like-minded friends to meet us via after-dinner small groups, Bible studies or other meetings.
- Introduce us and our work by referring your Christian IT friends and others to this website, then help set up a personal connection if they are interested.
- Link to this website from your own personal website.
- Sometimes you know Christians at your work, in your social groups (service club, sports organization, computer user's group, etc) who might be interested in a new kind of involvement in the Great Commission. Just give them the address of this website.
- Distribute our prayer card to those who might be interested. You can download the photocard image file from our Resources Page and print it as a photo, or we can mail you as many cards as you think you might be able to use. Just let us know.
- We might be able to do a live presentation to your meeting even if we can't be there in person. Call us and we can explore the options.
Pray regularly for us and the work. All of us in full-time missions face technical challenges, family complications, health issues (in spades) and sometimes even direct interference from our spiritual enemy. We need protection, provision and God-given progress! - Use our family calendar on this website to keep your prayers informed. Set a bookmark to that page in your browser, or even set your browser home page to this site.
- Make sure we have your email address(es), and ask us to send you "prayer blips" as opportunities and issues come up.
- In the near future, we hope to provide more up-to-the-minute details about this ministry's financial status. Once that becomes available, visit that page regularly. Render prayer and praise accordingly.
- Write or call us for more details about published needs, as well as needs that arise that we never manage to get posted.
- We want to pray for you, too! Please use the Feedback page, or send us email, to let us know how we can pray for you.
- Particularly for our own children's benefit, we would appreciate having a low-resolution (less than 35Kb) JPG photo of you and/or your family. It makes you much more real to them as they pray for you. Just email it to us as an attached file.
Help us educate your region of Christ's body about missions and Bible translation. We are not just about promoting our ministry. A rapidly-growing segment of the Great Commission for those of us in the West is all about equipping national Christian workers with ministry-enhancing technology and training them to use and maintain it. We would be eager to help your church augment their ministry vision to include the crucial things God is doing beyond the typical domains of evangelism and church-planting. We also love to do presentations to school-aged kids through the college-career demographic, as well as adult groups. You could introduce us via our website to - your church's pastor
- missions pastor or committee member
- Sunday School teacher or
- youth-ministry leadership.
In addition, you could be an advocate for us in other area churches (other than your own) where you have a "connection." This could be something as simple as speaking to a VBS class or a teen service outing. We simply cannot be used in this way without your help. Help us connect with believing IT (Information Technology) professionals. This is a special category for us. As of mid-August 2007, Wycliffe needed 260 more full-time IT workers, and the need is still growing faster than the supply. We have a special passion to reach Christian IT pros because as a group they still haven't heard how urgently and massively they are needed as IT missionaries in God's work on Earth. If you know anybody who loves the Lord and loves digital technology (video, audio, web design, tech support, software development, databases, networks, telecommunications, computational linguistics, technical management and a dozen other topics), please direct them to us.
