We left Bamako at about 8:30 am Friday, Nov. 3. We ate lunch at one of our favorite restaurants in Segou, and visited for a while with our dear friends Pastor Daniel Fane and his wife Mariyama. Then we drove on to Kimparana, arriving there about 5:30 pm. We were greeted in the village by huge banners announcing the celebration, and set up our tents in the quite huge & spacious church yard. The Program: FRIDAY EVENING - at about 10 pm the festivities began with an all night sing, dance and worship time. We lasted until around midnight, but could hear it quite well from inside our tents about 200 yards away. SATURDAY - 9:30 am to 2:30 pm Dedication/Celebration...
After a tasty (late) lunch "Riz au Gras", we headed back to Segou to spend the night. Then we continued home to Bamako Sunday afternoon (Nov. 5).
