February 2007 Scripture Use Workshop

I'd like to thank you for all your kind thoughts and prayers and help for our Scripture Use Workshop, Feb. 13 thru 23. I am so thankful for how God has worked this all out. I really couldn't have hoped for it to go any better.
And ALL the needed funding came in to provide for all the workshop costs and participant sponsorships. PRAISE THE LORD!!!

We had 32 participants from almost every corner of Mali (from Gao to Kayes to Sikasso to Mopti to Kadiolo to Segou to Bamako). They were a really fantastic group. All together, the mother-tongue languages represented were English, German, Hausa, Lokpa, Bomu, Bambara, Dogon, Minianka, Malinké, Fulani, Tamasheq, Songhai, and Shèènara. All the teaching was done in French.

The participants all were SO appreciative of the training. Most of them set attainable goals for using Chronological Bible Storying in their areas. Their testimonies in the closing program were so encouraging. They bonded closely with one another too, and really benefited from seeing things from the different angles of all the different denominations represented. And this was a fantastic church relations promo for SIL here in Mali.

The workshop was truly a great blessing to all who were involved, participants and facilitators.

Enjoy these pics (I sure do!) along with their explanations...
