We have known the Turners since 2007. Michael previously served as my children’s ministry associate. Faith has served as a children’s Sunday School teacher, and the entire family, including both of their sons, have served with us in a variety of ministry settings—a mission trip, evangelistic events, Vacation Bible School, and more. In ministry you meet families of all sorts, but rarely do you find a family where everyone in it has a heart for ministry and missions and making the most of every opportunity to serve the Lord. Whether unnoticed and “behind the scenes” or out in front, I have watched the Turners serve Christ, share the love of the Lord and affect people’s lives for the kingdom of God. We will miss them as they leave to serve with Wycliffe once again, but we also know that God has set them apart for great things. We are glad to be a part of their ministry. Kolby King, Children’s Minister First Baptist Church, Owasso, Oklahoma
I experienced the privilege of serving as Michael and Faith’s pastor, during their college days at Oklahoma Baptist University, Shawnee. Both provided great evidence of compassion for others, sensitivity to spiritual needs of those with whom they came into contact, faithfulness to the church, a love for Christ and a desire to honor Him through service. They love children and youth. Michael served as our church’s youth minister. Following their college graduation and marriage, they served as house parents at a children’s home. Both got to grow up in a Christian home. Proof of good parenting is seen in their two courteous sons. My family and I love and appreciate Michael, Faith and their sons, Kevin and Daniel. Dale Rogers, Director of Missions LeFlore Baptist Association, Poteau, Oklahoma
Michael and Faith Turner have a heart for ministry. Over the years I have watched them make themselves available to God to do his will whatever and wherever the calling. The Turners worked effectively at the Owasso Baptist Children’s Home for a time as house parents after having served overseas with Wycliffe Bible Translators. They continue to fill in for us to take care of children from time to time. The Turners have been faithful members of First Baptist Church, Owasso. Faith has gone on numerous mission trips to Mexico and Venezuela as an interpreter. Michael has worked on staff at the church as minister to senior adults and various other capacities. The Turner family is always helping, doing whatever needs to be done in Christ’s name. Speaking of family, family is a priority for the Turners. They are raising two outstanding young boys. The Turners are committed to homeschooling their children to give them a solid Christian education. Michael and Faith Turner are a blessing to all who know them. I know they will continue to be a blessing to others wherever God leads them. Scott Pallett, Assistant Administrator/Director of Residential Care Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, Owasso, Oklahoma
