Our Part in Bible Translation

The photo to the left is the boarding home where we cared for 8-10 missionary teens in Yaounde, Cameroon (Africa).  While we served there we assisted in four Bible translation projects.

We will be serving as boarding home parents again, this time  in Papua New Guinea (north of Australia). As boarding home parents, we will be responsible for 10-15 missionary kids who are in grades 7-12 while their parents are serving in more remote locations. Our sons, Kevin and Daniel, will be living in the boarding home with us.

Our role as boarding home parents will allow other missionaries to continue working in Bible translation and related ministries, knowing that their children are being cared for. This will help them stay on task as they translate God's Word into the heart languages of the local people.

We will be living at Ukarumpa, which is the center of operations for translation work in Papua New Guinea. Ukarumpa is also the location of the clinic, print shop, general store, schools for missionary kids, and other essential services.
