Special Need/Opportunity

Special Need = Opportunity

Working with the translation consultant

An unfortunate event occurred  late in 2009 that may be your opportunity to invest directly in Bible translation. On November 22nd, 2009 a robbery occurred at the home of Pastor Bernard Kuete, the coordinator for the Ngomba Project. His children were traumatized a bit, but thankfully, no one was hurt. Losses included all his money, his and his wife's cell phones, the project's camera, motorcycle and laptop computer. The laptop is handy for doing checking sessions with the translation consultant as shown in the photo above. It will cost approximately $2200 to replace this laptop. If you feel led to give money towards replacing the laptop, make checks payable to Wycliffe Bible Translators with a note stating "990509 (Cameroon) for project laptop". Gifts toward this will help keep the work moving ahead in the Satres' absense.
