Cameroon 2005
Cameroon 2005 Occasionally, an opportunity comes up that brings all of our work into perspective. In December 2005 Joe and Jerry were asked to represent Wycliffe USA at the dedication of the Kom language New Testament. The Kom speaking area is in the Northwest Provice of Cameroon, West Africa. We were humbled to be seated on the front row (see photo) with many dignitaries including the Director of the Cameroon Branch of SIL, the US Ambassador, the Chief of the Division, and others. It was exciting to see the people who speak Kom come out to celebrate having God's Word in their own language. You can read about the dedication and our experiences in Cameroon by clicking Cameroon 2005 on the navigation bar on the left. Some of the aspects of our work involve sensitive areas of the world and we cannot write about those things on a public site. Consequently, there are sections of our web site that we must protect and limit to those we know. Access to those areas are controlled by "registration" and a password that you can create. We also limit some of our family information and photos to those that we know. So, please register, if you haven't, and take a look at the other materials on the site. Let us hear from you too.
