Piper's Story  
 

Piper is such an amazing child. Maybe it is because she is our firstborn but we are just in awe of all the new and wonderful things she does every week. She is 11 months old right now. We are about a week away from her first Christmas and fully recognize that she will probably play with the wrapping paper more than the presents! J

She started walking about three weeks ago. At first it was just a couple of hesitant steps but every week she gets better and better. She seems to try to walk more when other kids are around. Maybe she is just showing off. She has two teeth on the bottom now. We thought they would never come but as another mom reminded me “Have you ever seen anyone without teeth?!”

She knows how to say “daddy” and every word we think she says seems to be a variation of daddy. Thank you is more like “dah de” and even mommy is just…well “daddy”. She seems to be trying to repeat words that we say to her but that could also be the delusions of first time parents. J

Basically we just think she is the greatest kid ever. Being away from her for a week while we were in Australia was the hardest thing we have done in a while. We missed her very much. Thanks for all your prayers as we navigate the parenting maze. Please continue to pray for wisdom for us.
