Baby #3 On the Way
We had been scheduled to be induced on Friday, Feb 20th. However the hospital has been swamped with delieveries this weekend and they kept delaying us. Finally on Sunday morning at 4:45am we got the call from the hospital that we could come in if we wanted to. We were out of bed in a flash and out the door.

Mindy at the hospital, very ready to have the baby. No regular contractions. But we'll see if the hospital can't give her something to get things moving.

At about 9:30am they finally started to pitosin. Let's get this baby delievered!

Our nurse Pat has been wonderful. She's from the mid-West. She's a self proclaimed OCD, so we feel very cared for.

Dr. Morris! She's been Mindy's OBGYN from the beginning and should be here to deliever. She's a fun lady and knows how to handle Bret's silliness. Dr. Morris says she thinks the baby will deliever at 3:30pm and be 9lbs 8oz. We'll see.

The "Happy" Dr. Mindy's on her Epidural now and feeling much better. We sure do love that man!

Daddy kept busy updating people on how things were progressing. He was scolded for being distracted by the computer when it came time to push!

Moments after being born. What a big boy! 9lbs 9oz. Brayden Josiah Taylor (Josiah). 21in long. Mom and Josiah are doing well.

Born at 3:47am, all his scores were good. All finger and toes were accounted for.

Daddy, Mommy, Josiah, and Dr. Morris. Bret is on two cell phones about to tell his mom and mother-in-law the good news.

Mindy and Josiah are doing well. Everyone commented on how good she looked for having just delievered!

Daddy and Josiah (6 hours old). Shortly after this picture was taken Josiah proved that his bowels were fully functioning. Dad reluctantly took the honors of changing that diaper.

Josiah all bundled up. So big, he barely fits in the hospital diapers or the hospital baby outfit! Shortly after this picture was taken, Josiah made a present... this time for his mommy!

About 4pm the whole family. If Lydia looks a bit unhappy, it's for a good reason. She's been battling a flu and and ear infection for the past few days. Plus she was really wanting a baby sister. But she's definitely looking forward to having a baby at home. She really wants to hold her new baby brother.

Late Sunday night. We are so glad to have the added blessing of Josiah to family.

One more picture... because we think he's so cute! Our little man... or should we say not so little man!

He was pretty noisy the first night, making grunting sounds all night long as he slept. He seems to like to look around more than most babies. He has beautiful blue eyes.

The second night he was much more fussy. Always wanting to feed. Finally at 2am, we sent him off to the nursery so we could catch up on some much needed sleep.

Monday, the kids came to visit again. Lydia loves her new brother. We had her wear a mask as she's still getting over some illness. She loves to hold and touch her new brother. She's very sweet with him.

Bryce likes his new brother too... but quickly goes back to playing with his monster trucks. Bryce seems to have low interest in a brother that can't play cars with him.

Tuesday morning, we finally got checked out of the hospital. Mom and Josiah are still doing very well. We were eager to bring our new family member home from the hospital.

Home at last! After a quick feed and being held by his big sister, Josiah took his first nap in the nursery. We are greatful to be home. Updated pictures will be posted on our baby album. Click here.
