In February 2010 Jim worked with translation teams from the Kenyan and Kerala (India) Sign Language projects. About a dozen workers focused on translating Bible passages from Genesis chapters 9-18 including Noah; after the flood; tower of Babel, and Abram and Lot.
The groups were divided into two teams: one doing actual translation; while the other prepared a signed translator's notes resource for future translation teams to use. They call this resource "The DEEPS" because it will enable them to go deep into the word without needing to read English or French or some other written form of a foreign-to-them spoken language.
