Partnership Update

Each team member is trusting God to provide 15 prayer partners and $3300.

If you would like to partner with an individual on the team prayerfully and/or financially you can download a partnership response form by clicking here.

Team members who exceed their financial obligations will be able to direct those funds to help fellow teammates as well as leave a special blessing with the ministries we'll be with this summer.

Prayer Requests

6/3

• Pray for team members as they prepare for this trip in the midst of finals and graduation.  Some are struggling with doing their pre-trip devotions due to various time demands.
• Pray for training that will be happening next week (6/9-6/13).  For students to be able to maximize their learning opportunities and for the team to bond well together.

5/23

• We had a glich with our visas.  We are in the process of resubmitting them.  Please pray that it will go through this time.  Specifically the electronic copies we sent apparently had a poor quality
• Our host missionaries (Roger and Marrilyn) had travel problems with the airline.  The result was in the re-route their bags were lost... completely!  Beyond loosing their clothes, also a great deal of material they'd prepared for a conference beginning 5/26.

5/1 Update

• Pray for Emily as she is extremely busy with tennis, school, and other activities.  She graduates next week.
• Pray for the team as their balance is due in a couple weeks 5/15.

4/29 Update

• We had planned to participate in a modified TOTAL It Up (Linguistics & Culture class) before leaving.  However we have been unable to secure the staffing necessary for this important pre-field training.  Pray for our pre-field training situation.

4/18 Update

• Pray for team members who are struggling to have their support raised by the deadlines.
• Pray for airfare below $2000.  Prices have gone up considerably over the last month, and are exceeding our original budget.
• Next training on April 19th.Good team bonding and ability to cover necessary material
• Flower Sale Fundraiser on April 25- For a good turn out
• Spud Supper Fundraiser on April 26- For our team to gain valuable prayer partners 

3/27 Update

• Continue prayers as team members have just sent out their partnership letters.  For sufficent response for the prayer and financial needs
• For Mike as he prepare the logistics for the Spud Supper Fundraiser (4/26).
• The Spud Supper will yield many prayer supporters

3/19 Update

• For the trip logistics still being put together
• Airline tickets within budget
• Team unity
• Finances for all team members to be provided
• Preparation of the hearts of those we will be reaching in Guinea-Bissau

Answers to Prayer

6/3

• We got our visas approved today and in hand.  All the major complications for traveling seem to have been worked out.  All the preparations that we know of have been accomplished.  So we will continue to praise God for answering prayers we didn't even know we needed to ask.

5/27

• Praise God!  The whole team has reached their financial goal!

5/24

• The Reeck's baggage finally arrived!  Praise God for the safe arrivial of their luggage including the materials for their seminar beginning on Monday.

5/23

• Roger Reeck (our missoinary host) has had significant recovery from the blood clots in his legs.
• Despite having been delayed due to lost baggage, Roger was able to meet with some people he wouldn't have otherwise been able to.  An prayer answered before it was even asked!

5/21

• Praise Him!  Amanda has reached her financial goal!

• Praise Him!  Julie and Helen Marie have reached their financial goals.
• Alternate options for the pre-field training seem to be on the horizon.  Praise God for providing ways we did not even know existed.

4/30

• Praise God! Riah is now fully supported... both in prayer and financially

• Great turn out at the Spud Supper with about 175 in attendance.  Students did a great job presenting.  Many new prayer partners came on board and about $1150 was raised!
• We were able to purchase great tickets for $2080!  A major praise considering how much airfare has jumped this past week.

4/25

• We had an excellent turn out at the Flower Sale.  Each team member raised over $200!

4/22

• Lindsey has now reach her financial goals for the trip

• Bret has now reach his financial and prayer goals
• Blessing of JAARS accounting handeling our finances and helping us save money
• Generous donations of food towards the Spud Supper Fund-raiser
• For Bob Thompson introducing us to the local nursery who is donating about $2000 in plants for our sale

3/27

• An opportunity to raise some money for the trip through selling flowers was presented to us that seems to be a perfect opportunity and an answer to prayer for some of the team's financial needs.
• Great communication continues to happen between the field and Bret.  Trip seems to be coming together nicely.
