What We Do
Tom and Lily Bogle serve with Wycliffe Bible Translators at the JAARS Center. Tom leads a team that is developing Translation Editor, a software program for Bible translators. His work involves occasional trips to the other side of the world to work with translators and computer support staff there. Since losing our analyst in 2007, his work has included more design and analysis. Lily's main job is homeschooling our beautiful daughters and preparing them to serve the Lord. In the past, she has been involved in childcare, housekeeping, and various projects translating documents from English into Spanish (her mother tongue) for different departments at JAARS. Currently, her primary ministry outside the home is leading a Bible study and counseling Hispanic ladies at the H.E.L.P. Crisis Pregnancy Center. She also ministers to a widow in our neighborhood. At Community Church, Tom and Lily co-direct the youth group, together with other lay volunteers. As part of that, we led a church mission trip to Honduras for the summer of 2008. We also help with our care group's ministry at the Brian Center, a care facility for the elderly. Tom now serves on the elder board and helps with some techie stuff. Lily is on the Stephen Minstries team, serves as an usher, and helps in the nursery along with Joylily . Joylily plays guitar for youth worship and helps as a projectionist on Sunday morning. Our ESL ministry is hibernation for now, but we'd love to continue that in the future if we can ever find the time.
