Prayer Requests (last updated June 21)  

· Praise God for a recent report of a very positive experience for one of the Mara cluster teams in doing a remote consulting session using Translation Editor.

· Praise God Lily's sister, Vivian, has had her visa approved. Pray for safety and a good adjustment to life in the U.S. Especially pray that God would use this major life change to draw her closer to Him.

· Pray for wisdom for our leadership. A recent agreement with United Bible Societies calls for closer cooperation in software development. Pray that we'll all be able to figure out what that means and accomplish what needs to be done both technically and relationally for the glory of God. The immediate implication for us is the (possibly temporary) loss of one programmer from the Translation Editor team.

· Praise God for His awesome provision of funds to enable us to get some newer vehicles. We are blown away by His faithfulness to us. We have replaced the Explorer with a 2009 Pontiac Vibe. Pray for wisdom concerning our 1989 Chevy Astro. This van has been very good to us and has served us so well in our youth ministry. We're trying to decide whether to drive it to its death or give it to a family at church that has an immediate need.

· Pray that the newly released version 3.0.4 of Translation Editor (part of FieldWorks 6.0.4) will serve the needs of our colleagues well.

· Praise God for progress being made in Bible translation in Tanzania. (Check out the "Daunting Task" video on this page.)

· Pray for Viji and Minie, who are working on the Old Testament for the Konda-Dora people. Pray especially for two villages, where Christians hope to construct church buildings on some public land. A Hindu group is opposing them, so they want to break ground before the opposition intensifies. Pray also for the family of an elderly lady (a believer) who was murdered on June 14.

· Lily and the girls continue their ministry at the H.E.L.P. Crisis Pregnancy Center. Lily has seen many women make professions of faith through her counseling ministry there. Please pray for their growth. Pray also for Lily's work with the Stephen Ministry at church.

· Pray for wisdom for us in our work with the youth ministry at our church. Praise God for enabling us to raise over $2000 for World Vision in our 30-Hour Famine in May.

· Pray that our support would be adequate to cover our ministry and basic living expenses. A special gift this year has us at over 100% for the first time in many years, but that gift was earmarked for vehicles, so we know that we need to continue to build our support team.

· Pray for the salvation of Lily's unsaved family members.
