Our Story
We are serving in Papua New Guinea with Wycliffe Bible Translators. Wycliffe's mission is to assist the church in making disciples of all nations through Bible translation. Wycliffe missionaries have helped to complete 500 translations in nearly 1000 languages, making God's Word available to more than 35 million people. There are still over 2700 language groups representing more then 300 million people that have no Scriptures in their languages. Wycliffe is committed to seeing a Scripture translation in progress for every language that needs it by 2025. The translation process is very involved and may take many years as translators and literacy workers devote their lives to developing written languages for peoples with none and teach them to read and to value reading. Michele and Jim will be supporting the translators by freeing them to focus their time and energy on translation. By being part of the aviation support in Papua New Guinea, Jim will help get missionaries into remote areas more quickly, deliver needed supplies and provide access to emergency medical aid. Michele will be in the secondary school teaching the children of the missionaries and sowing into their lives. We are grateful that God is giving us the chance to be part of bringing His Word to the peoples of the world using the gifts and experiences His has given us.
