Cross-cultural missionary training programmes for Christian workers in Asia

About ACTIProgrammesApplyPressAlumniLinks

ACTI Home

At the Asian Cross-Cultural Training Institute (ACTI), prospective cross-cultural Christian workers from across the world meet the real challenges of cross-cultural living in cosmopolitan Singapore. They learn first-hand the intricacies of interpersonal relationships, stress management, raising and keeping a missionary family together, and above all, practising true discipleship.

Formal lectures in mission theology, anthropology and linguistics, as well as comparitive studies in world religions and major cultures, provide the background for a better understanding of the wider world. The city-state of Singapore, with its distinctive cultural mix exemplified in the neighbourhood where ACTI is located offers ample opportunities for a taste of urban and suburban evangelism.

We are located at 11 Pasir Ris Drive 2, Singapore 518458

Reaching Readers and Non-readers Alike

Even the most successful language development program will have its share of people who will not learn to read. By using audio cassettes, illustrations, drama and videos, non-readers can be included in the development of their language and the acquisition of new information.
