(The Lais at the Village Market of Nairobi, Kenya) UPDATED ON 17 May 2012 Introducing the Lais Name : Daniel (22 Aug) & Dominica (17 Mar) Anniversary (30 Sep 1985) Children – Nathaniel (22) studying in Yr 4 of Mechatronic Engineering at University of New South Wales and Hannah (20) studying Yr 2 of Development Studies at Macquarie Universtity in 2012. (both Nathaniel & Hannah were baptised by Daniel at Rift Valley Academy on 24 Jun 2004 after going through a series of baptism classes conducted by their school chaplain ) BRIEF: Daniel & Dominica have been Wycliffe Bible Translators' missionaries since 1996. They served in East Africa for the past 12 years. Due to the deteriation of dialysis of Dominica's mother, they have relocated back to Australia for global mission mobilisation and mission education. Daniel used to serve as a Christian workers, pastor and missionary for over 30 years. He was appointed as Justice of the Peace by the New South Wales Government of Australia in 1989, and ordained by the Baptist Union of New South Wales in 1997. Daniel & Dominica were co-founders of Ambassadors Multicultural Mission (International) Association and had helped planting congregations in five different suburbs in Sydney. The are founders of Kenya Chinese Gospel Fellowship (it has been developed into two churches now) and Uganda Chinese Gospel Fellowship. Currently, Daniel is the Greater Sydney Regional Director of Wycliffe Australia, and the Honorary Facilator of Chinese Church For Mission (CCFM) connecting different mission agents to mobilise Chinese diaspora churches in Sydney for mission. MORE DETAILS: Daniel has been working in full time Christian ministries since 1978 in Hongkong (Assistant General Manager of Tien Dao Christian Media Association, Executive Secretary of Living Bible (HK), Hon. Manager of Bible Maganzine, Hon. Executive Secretary of Swordsmen Club). He travelled extensively to over forty countries. Daniel is the founding advisor of Student Fellowship of Caine/Wellington College, founding secretary of Cantonese Fellowship of University of Kent at Canterbury, founding president of Remember China Fellowship, founding advisor of Family Gospel Fellowship of People with a Disability, founding pastor of Australia Ling Liang Church, founding pastor of Bilingual Congregation of West Pennant Hills St Matthew's Anglican Church, Sydney, Australia. Daniel & Dominica were co-founders of Ambassadors Multicultural Mission, Ambassadors Multicultural Chinese School, Ambassadors Gospel Reading Room in Australia, Kenya Chinese Gospel Fellowship and served in several roles in Africa. Dominica finished her Bachelor of Commerce from University of Sasketchewan in 1980, Postgraduate Diploma of Management Executive Development from Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1984. She served in East Africa with Dominica from 1998-2009 as Computer Consultant/Trainer and Finance Manager. The Lais have spoken widely internationally to different mission conferences of various denominations. They have a burden to mobilize the Lord's Great Commission and Vision 2025 to the nations.
